      Headquartered in Somanur, Tamilnadu (Southern India), the Coimbatore District Job Working Powerloom Unit Owners’ Association is a non-governmental organization that works to improve the welfare of Power loom owners by rightly handling the periodical risk prevailing in the sector

      Coimbatore District Job Working Powerloom Unit Owners’ Association also works to overcome gender issues such as Electricity bill hike, Price Hiking negotiations.

Coimbatore District Job Working Powerloom Unit Owners’ Association, Somanur was started in the year 1990 after a rapid growth over these 22 years now we are huge with

1. * More than 10000 members
2. * More than 2 lakh power looms(Includes normal Power Loom to Semi Automatic Power loom)
3. * One shed can withhold 10 to 24 Power Loom weaving machines.
4. * Manufacturing width of 56” to 72”
5. * Yarn counts used from 16s to 60s
6. * 90% of the weavers are working on job order basis and the rest 10% are doing job orders and also own fabric business
7. * But 50% of the members are ready to go with own fabric business if at all they get direct orders
